The Ray Alexander
Horn Section is a nine piece ensemble consisting of three trumpets,
two trombones and four saxophones. The horn section tours primarily
with the Four Tops, but also plays several shows a year with the Temptations,
the Spinners and Frankie Valli. The section also played 5 cuts on the
four Tops Christmas CD on the Motown label. In addition, the Ray Alexander
Horns have done a tour of the United Kingdom with the four Tops, Temptations
and Mary Wilson. The horn section has also performed with The Spinners,
Four Tops, the Pointer Sisters, Aretha Franklin and others at different
locations of the House of Blues from Chicago to Orlando. The Ray Alexander
Horns have also recorded two TV shows with the Four Tops on PBS- They
also performed on the TV show, Motown Live. The Temptations took the
section to St. Thomas. A great trip! No better than our Four Tops gig
in Bermuda, though!

Michael
Paskevich, Las Vegas Review:
"The
Four Tops, still graced by an original cast that dates back to 1954,
even takes on The Stones with an unlikely show-closing medley of "Satisfaction"
and "Jumpin' Jack Flash." The powerful 14 piece Ray Alexander
Orchestra featuring five horns and four reeds provides consistently
solid support, although a bit more solo space for the hard-kicking
brass section would be welcome."
